Walking
From the Zadar waterfront (Obala kralja Tomislava), walk towards the pedestrian street, Kalelarga, which is a central thoroughfare. Continue along Kalelarga until you reach the end of the street, where it intersects with the main square, Narodni trg. From there, head towards the right and follow the street that leads to the Five Wells Square (Trg Pet bunara). Keep walking straight until you see the historic Town Gate ahead, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the waterfront.

If you prefer to use public transport, take a bus from the Zadar bus station. Board any bus that heads towards the city center (the main bus terminal is near the waterfront). Get off at the stop named 'Zadar Centar.' From there, follow the signs towards Kalelarga and continue with the walking directions provided above. The entire journey will take about 30 minutes, including the bus ride.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, you can ride from the Zadar waterfront along the promenade. Head towards the city center, following the bike paths. Once you reach Kalelarga, park your bike at a designated area and proceed on foot towards the main square and then to the Historic Town Gate. This route should take around 10 minutes cycling and 5 minutes walking.
