Car
From Zagreb, take the A1 highway towards Karlovac. Exit at Zaprešić and follow the signs for D1 towards Krapina. After about 30 km, turn onto D29 towards Grtovec. Continue on this road for approximately 10 km until you reach Grtovec. Milengrad is located near the village, so look for signs directing you to the ruin.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Zagreb to Krapina. The train ride takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Krapina station, transfer to a local bus heading to Grtovec. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. Once you arrive in Grtovec, Milengrad is a short walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you arrive in Grtovec by public transportation, Milengrad is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Head northeast on the main road and look for signs directing you to the ruin. The path may be a bit uneven, so wear comfortable shoes.
