If you're traveling by car, head towards the village of Trakošćan, which is located approximately 30 kilometers northwest of the city of Varaždin. From the center of Varaždin, take the D2 road heading towards Lepoglava. Follow the signs for Trakošćan Castle. Once you arrive in Trakošćan, turn onto Trakošćan Street and follow it until you see the castle entrance. There is a parking area available near the castle, and parking may incur a small fee, so be sure to have some kuna on hand.
