Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Samobor, which is a common entry point to the Žumberak Mountains. Head southeast on D1 towards the village of Sošice. After approximately 20 km, turn left onto the road towards Nove Hiže. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the sign for View point Kavranca. There is a small parking area at the viewpoint location, which is located at latitude 45.5049601 and longitude 14.9219676.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, take a bus from Zagreb to the town of Samobor. Once in Samobor, you will need to catch a local bus to Sošice. The bus service may not be very frequent, so check the schedule in advance. From Sošice, it's about a 5 km walk to the viewpoint. Follow the signs for Nove Hiže, and once you reach the road leading to the viewpoint, follow it until you arrive at View point Kavranca. Be prepared for a scenic but uphill walk, so wear comfortable shoes.

• Hiking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are already in the Žumberak Mountains, you can hike to View point Kavranca. Start from the nearest village, Nove Hiže, and follow marked hiking trails that lead through the beautiful landscapes of the mountains. The hike is approximately 4 km and can take around 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to carry enough water and wear appropriate hiking gear. The viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views, making the hike worthwhile.
