Beeldentuin Blue Bay: A Fusion of Art and Nature

Nestled within the Blue Bay Curaçao Golf & Beach Resort, the Beeldentuin Blue Bay offers a unique cultural experience, showcasing contemporary sculptures against the backdrop of a stunning natural landscape. Established in 2017, the sculpture garden aims to promote both tourism and art education on the island, providing a space where art is accessible to all.The garden features over 40 sculptures crafted from diverse materials, including locally sourced Tafelberg stone, marble, iron, ceramics, and recycled materials. These works, created by Curaçaoan and international artists, reflect themes related to Curaçaoan identity, history, and the environment. The Beeldenroute, or Sculpture Route, guides visitors through the resort, starting at the welcome center, continuing through Landhuis Blauw (a historic plantation house), and concluding near the Coast restaurant.Visitors can explore monumental three-dimensional works that invite contemplation and spark conversation, strategically placed to complement the surrounding landscape. The garden is free to visit, offering an enriching experience that blends art and nature in a serene Caribbean setting. Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands visited the garden in November 2021, highlighting its cultural significance.
