Beeldentuin Blue Bay: A Caribbean Art Oasis

Nestled within the Blue Bay Curaçao Golf & Beach Resort, the Beeldentuin Blue Bay offers a unique cultural experience. Established in 2017, the sculpture garden aims to promote tourism and art education in Curaçao. The garden features over 40 sculptures made from diverse materials like stone, marble, iron, ceramics, and recycled materials. The Beeldenroute, or Sculpture Route, guides visitors through the resort, starting at the welcome center and leading to Landhuis Blauw, a historic plantation house. The sculptures, ranging from figurative to abstract, explore themes related to Curaçaoan identity, history, and environment. Notable artists include Giovanni Abath, Yubi Kirindongo, and Hortence Brouwn.The garden is open to the public and free to visit, offering a blend of art appreciation and Caribbean tranquility. Visitors can explore the garden at their own pace or join a guided tour for deeper insights. The Beeldentuin Blue Bay not only enhances the resort's appeal but also serves as an educational resource, with materials developed for secondary schools.
