Discover more about Boutique Hotel Blenchi

Nestled on a small hilltop in the peaceful Banda Bou region, Boutique Hotel Blenchi, also known as Landhuis Klein Santa Martha, offers a serene retreat with panoramic views of Santa Martha Bay. Originally built in the 17th century, the landhuis thrived as an agricultural hub, cultivating sugarcane, fruits, and vegetables. It also produced wool, dairy, and salt. The estate has witnessed centuries of Caribbean history, including the rise of the Dutch West India Company and the abolition of slavery. The meticulously restored plantation house exudes old-world charm, featuring traditional Dutch gables and rustic terracotta roof tiles. Today, Boutique Hotel Blenchi provides spacious, stylishly furnished rooms decorated with local artwork. Guests can explore the lush gardens, enjoy the outdoor pool, and dine at the on-site restaurant. The hotel serves as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Christoffel National Park, Shete Boka National Park, and pristine beaches like Playa Lagun and Playa Porto Marie. Landhuis Klein Santa Martha played a significant role in Curaçao's history. During the Curaçaoan slave revolt of 1795, the plantation's tutor remained behind, ultimately losing his life. In 1804, English forces plundered the plantation. From 1939 to the 1950s, the area housed the Helfrichdorp, an agricultural experiment. After decades of neglect, the Stichting Monumentenzorg began a complete renovation in 2012, completing it in 2014. Today, Boutique Hotel Blenchi welcomes visitors to experience Curaçao's colonial past in a setting of unparalleled beauty and tranquility.
