Boat
The most common and convenient way to reach the Blue Room Cave is by boat. Several tour operators offer excursions from various locations along the coast, including Playa Santa Cruz and Caracas Bay. These tours typically include snorkeling gear and a guided visit to the cave. The cost for a boat tour ranges from $35 to $100 USD per person, depending on the duration and inclusions. Some tours also include visits to other nearby attractions, such as Turtle Bay and Cas Abao Beach.
Hiking & Swimming
For a more adventurous approach, you can hike to the Blue Room Cave from Playa Santa Cruz. The trail starts on the left side of the beach, just before the Captain Goodlife cabin. Follow the path towards Boka Santu Pretu (black beach), which is about a 15-minute walk. Continue past the beach until the path splits; take the right fork, which leads directly to the Blue Room Cave. The hike takes approximately 25 minutes. From the end of the trail, you'll need to climb down some rocks and jump into the water to swim into the cave entrance. This option is free, but requires good physical fitness and swimming skills. Consider bringing water shoes for the rocky terrain. Snorkel gear is essential to fully appreciate the cave's beauty.
