Landhuis Bloempot: A Glimpse into Curaçao’s Heritage

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the main square in Willemstad, known as Plaza Brion. Head southeast towards Breedestraat, which is the main street connecting different parts of the city. Continue walking on Breedestraat until you reach the intersection with Schottegatweg. Turn left onto Schottegatweg and keep walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Suikertuintjeweg. You will see signs directing you towards Landhuis Bloempot. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes, and soon you'll arrive at Landhuis Bloempot, located on your right at the address 43CX+CH3, Suikertuintjeweg.

• Public Transport

  From the main bus station in Willemstad, take a bus heading towards Rooi Catochi. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Suikertuintjeweg, as some buses may not stop directly there. Once you get off the bus, walk in the direction you were traveling for about 5 minutes until you see Landhuis Bloempot on your left at 43CX+CH3, Suikertuintjeweg. Look out for the distinctive heritage building.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the waterfront in Willemstad. Once you have your bike, head towards Breedestraat and follow the same route as walking. After reaching the roundabout, take the second exit onto Suikertuintjeweg. Biking will allow you to reach Landhuis Bloempot faster, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way. It should take you about 10 minutes to arrive at your destination.
