Discover more about Landhuis Cas Cora

Landhuis Cas Cora, also known as Vredenberg or Penso's Park, is a captivating manor estate located in a residential area of Willemstad, Curaçao. Built in the early 19th century, this former plantation of 85 hectares was initially used for cattle breeding. For a short time in the mid-20th century, it served as a breeding farm. The landhuis itself is a one-story structure with a rectangular core area and front and rear galleries. Its gable roof, adorned with gray tiles, lacks dormers, and the facade is distinguished by a pointed gable and a red hue. The galleries on either side feature lean-to roofs, and the rear of the building has been extended and covered. Inside, the core of the landhuis comprises three rooms, with the western space showcasing long, broad wooden floorboards. The central room connects to the northern and southern galleries through wide passages. Since 2015, Landhuis Cas Cora has been home to Hofi Cas Cora, an organic restaurant that embraces the farm-to-table concept. The restaurant sources its produce from its own garden, offering visitors a unique dining experience. The grounds also feature a mini-farm with donkeys, horses, pigs, geese and other animals. Although the structure is sometimes closed to the public, the exterior remains a picturesque landmark. Located near Landhuis Cas Cora are two other historical landhuisen: Landhuis Urdal and Landhuis van Engelen. To the north lies the Kabouterbos, a 13-hectare green recreational area with a playground, picnic spots and sanitary facilities, perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding.
