Walking
If you're in Punda, start at Wilhelmina Park, which is a well-known landmark. From the park, head southwest towards the waterfront. As you approach the water, take a left onto the main road, which is called Avenida de Venezuela. Continue straight for about 300 meters, and you will see the large Governor's Palace on your right. The Statue of Thanks is located right in front of the Governor's Palace at Gouvernementsplein. Look for the statue amidst the gardens.

Public Transport
If you are near the Otrobanda area, take a local bus heading towards Punda. Get off at the stop closest to the floating bridge (Queen Emma Bridge). Once you cross the bridge on foot, you will find yourself in Punda. Walk straight along the waterfront and then turn left onto Avenida de Venezuela. The Governor's Palace will be on your right side. The Statue of Thanks is located directly in front of the palace at Gouvernementsplein.

Bicycle
From the center of Punda, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Head southwest towards the waterfront, and ride along the promenade. After about 10 minutes, keep an eye out for the Governor's Palace, which will be on your right. Park your bicycle at a nearby bike rack, and walk towards Gouvernementsplein, where you will find the Statue of Thanks.

If you're not keen on walking, you can easily hail a local taxi. Request to be taken to Gouvernementsplein, near the Governor's Palace. The taxi drivers are familiar with the area and will drop you off right in front of the statue. This is a convenient option if you're coming from a further distance in Willemstad.
