Zenobia Wreck: A World-Class Diving Experience

The Zenobia wreck is one of the top-rated dive sites in the world, located just 1.5 km off the coast of Larnaca, Cyprus. The MS Zenobia, a Swedish-built Challenger-class RO-RO ferry, sank on her maiden voyage in June 1980 due to a computer malfunction in its ballast system. The 172-meter long vessel now rests on its port side at a depth of 42 meters, with the shallowest point at 16 meters, making it accessible to divers of varying skill levels.The wreck has transformed into a vibrant artificial reef, teeming with marine life including large groupers, barracudas, moray eels, sea turtles, and various species of fish. Divers can explore the ship's exterior, including the massive propellers, cargo decks, and lifeboats, as well as penetrate interior spaces such as the bridge, cafeteria, and accommodation decks.
