Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from any point in the Mesaoria Plain. Make your way to Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. You will want to take the A1 highway towards Nicosia. Once you reach Nicosia, follow signs for the city center. As you approach the city center, look for signs to the Ledra Palace Hotel, which is located near the United Nations Buffer Zone. The International Tree of Peace is located within this buffer zone, so you may need to park your car near the Ledra Palace Hotel and walk to the site. Parking can be found in nearby public lots, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking, typically around €1-€2 per hour.

• Public Transport

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations within the Mesaoria Plain to Nicosia. Look for buses heading towards the Nicosia Central Bus Station. Once you arrive at the bus station, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to the Ledra Palace Hotel. The hotel is located near the United Nations Buffer Zone, where the International Tree of Peace can be found. Ensure you have some cash on hand for the bus fare, which typically costs around €1-€2. If walking, head towards Ledra Street, which leads directly to the buffer zone entrance next to the hotel.

• Walking

  If you happen to be nearby the Ledra Palace Hotel, you can easily walk to the International Tree of Peace. Simply enter through the pedestrian crossing at the Ledra Palace checkpoint. Once you cross into the buffer zone, follow the signs pointing towards the International Tree of Peace. The tree is a short walk from the checkpoint and is located in a peaceful area, surrounded by historical significance. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the ground can be uneven in some parts.
