To reach the Kyrenia Mountains via public transport, start at the main bus station in Kyrenia. Look for buses heading towards Beylerbeyi. The journey takes approximately 10-30 minutes. Bus fare is around 20-30 TRY. From the Beylerbeyi bus stop (873V+3XP), walk towards the mountain area. Some trailheads may require a further taxi or a longer walk. Buses are less frequent on weekends and holidays.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available in Kyrenia. A taxi from Kyrenia city center to a starting point for exploring the Kyrenia Mountains, such as near Bellapais Abbey or a popular trailhead, will cost approximately 150-200 TRY. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Ride-sharing services are not widely available in this region.
Driving
From Kyrenia city center, follow signs towards Beylerbeyi. The road winds uphill, offering scenic views. Parking is available at various points along the mountain roads, including near popular trailheads and viewpoints. Parking is generally free, but availability can be limited during peak season. Be aware that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.
