Discover more about Vouni Panayia Winery

Vouni Panayia Winery, established in 1987 by Andreas Kyriakides, stands as a testament to Cypriot winemaking tradition. Located in the mountainous village of Pano Panayia in the Paphos region, the winery is set 1,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by a pine forest. This unique terroir, combined with the winery's commitment to quality, results in distinctive wines that capture the essence of the island. The winery cultivates indigenous white varietals such as Xynisteri, Promara, and Spourtiko, as well as red grapes like Maratheftiko and Yiannoudi. These vines are planted on their original rootstocks, a rarity in Europe, as the high-altitude vineyards have remained untouched by phylloxera. Visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and sample the winery's offerings in a dedicated tasting room. Beyond the wine, Vouni Panayia offers a glimpse into Cypriot culture. A traditional museum showcases the history of winemaking on the island, while the winery's restaurant serves seasonal, traditional cuisine. The winery is open year-round, inviting wine lovers to discover the flavors and traditions of Cyprus.
