From the center of Troodos, head southwest towards the Troodos Square. Once at the square, look for the sign indicating the trail to Olimpos. Follow the trail markers that lead you through the pine forest. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views and listen for the sounds of nature. As you approach Olimpos, you will see the distinctive outline of the peak ahead.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike up to Olimpos from the Troodos area. Start your hike from the Troodos Visitor Center, which is located near Troodos Square. Follow the designated hiking trail marked for Olimpos. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in sections, so be prepared with proper footwear. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers long and should take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful natural landscapes and might encounter local wildlife.

While there is no direct public transport to Olimpos, you can take a bus from Troodos to the nearby village of Platres. From the Platres bus stop, look for local signs or ask locals for directions to the hiking trails leading to Olimpos. It is about a 4-kilometer walk from Platres to the Olimpos trailhead. The bus ride should take around 20 minutes, and once in Platres, you’ll find the trailhead easily marked.
