Atalanti Nature Trail is a captivating high‑mountain loop that begins and ends at Troodos Square, threading a 14 km path around the ridge of Chionistra, often referred to as Troodos’s Olympus. Winding through dense forests of black pine and Foetid Juniper, hikers encounter one of the oldest trees on the island—a majestic 800‑year‑old juniper—standing as a living witness to centuries of change. The trail traverses altitudes ranging from 1,700 to 1,750 m, offering crisp air, shifting light, and grand vistas over the island, stretching as far as the coast on clear days.
