Car
If you are traveling by car, make your way to the main road leading to Český ráj. From the town of Turnov, take the road E65 towards Liberec. Follow the signs for Český ráj, and you will reach the entrance to the nature preserve in about 15 minutes. Parking is available at designated areas near the trails. Be aware that some areas may require a small parking fee, typically around 50 CZK.
Public Transportation
To reach Český ráj by public transportation, start from the nearest major city, Turnov. Take a train from Prague to Turnov, which runs regularly and takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Turnov, transfer to a local bus heading towards Český ráj. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedules as they may vary, especially on weekends. Tickets for the bus usually cost around 30 CZK.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, consider renting a bike in Turnov and taking the scenic route to Český ráj. There are designated cycling paths that offer beautiful views of the landscape. The ride is approximately 10 km and should take around 30-40 minutes. Be prepared with a map or GPS device, as some paths may not be well marked. Ensure to wear a helmet and check your bike before starting your journey.
Hiking
If you are already in Bohemian Paradise and are feeling adventurous, you can hike to Český ráj. There are numerous trails leading to the area, such as the trail from Turnov or from the nearby village of Malá Skála. Make sure to carry a map and wear appropriate hiking gear. The hike can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on your starting point and pace. Always check the weather conditions before heading out.
