Car
If you're traveling by car, you can navigate to Prašná brána located at Nám. Republiky 5, 110 00 Staré Město in Prague. From Central Bohemia, take the D5 highway towards Prague. Follow signs for the city center and take the exit towards Náměstí Republiky. There is limited street parking around the area, so it's advisable to check for nearby parking garages such as the Palladium or Kotva Shopping Center, which may charge a fee of approximately 50 CZK per hour.
Public Transportation - Train
To reach Prašná brána by train, first take a train from your nearest Central Bohemia station to Prague Main Station (Hlavní nádraží). Trains run frequently and the journey typically takes about 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at Prague Main Station, exit the station and take Metro Line C (red line) towards Letňany. At the next stop, transfer to Line B (yellow line) at Florenc station and ride to Náměstí Republiky station. From there, it’s a short walk to Prašná brána.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take a bus from various towns in Central Bohemia to the Florenc Bus Station in Prague. Upon arrival, transfer to Metro Line B (yellow line) and travel to Náměstí Republiky station. After exiting the station, it is a short walk to Prašná brána. Bus tickets typically cost around 30 CZK for a single journey.
Public Transportation - Tram
If you are already in Prague, you can take a tram to reach Prašná brána. Use trams 5, 8, or 14 and get off at the Náměstí Republiky stop. From there, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the landmark. Tram tickets cost approximately 30 CZK for a 90-minute ride.
