From the city center of České Budějovice, head to the main bus station (Autobusové nádraží) located at Nádražní 1752/1. Take bus number 5 towards 'Vrbné' and get off at the stop 'Vrbné u Českých Budějovic'. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. After getting off the bus, walk in the direction of the Vltava River. You should see signs indicating the path to Vrbenské rybníky. Follow these signs for about 10 minutes until you reach the nature preserve.

If you prefer walking, start from the city center, specifically from the main square (náměstí Přemysla Otakara II). Head south towards the Vltava River. Cross the bridge (most) and follow the path along the riverbank. Continue straight until you reach the area of Vrbné. This walk is approximately 4 kilometers and will take about 50 minutes. Look for signs that lead to Vrbenské rybníky, and you will arrive at the nature preserve.
Bicycle

For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the city center. From the main square, head south towards the Vltava River and follow the bike path along the river. This route will lead you to the Vrbné area. The distance is about 4 kilometers, and it should take around 15-20 minutes to reach Vrbenské rybníky, depending on your cycling speed.
