Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Jelenia Góra. Drive east on Route 3 (DW3) towards Piechowice. Once you reach Piechowice, follow Sudecka Street until you see the sign for Śnieżne Kotły. There is a parking area available near the trailhead, but please note there may be a small parking fee (around 5-10 PLN). After parking, follow the marked hiking trail that leads you to Śnieżne Kotły.
Public Transportation
To reach Śnieżne Kotły via public transportation, take a bus from Jelenia Góra to Piechowice. Buses run frequently, and the ticket costs approximately 5-10 PLN. Once you arrive in Piechowice, walk along Sudecka Street until you reach the trailhead for Śnieżne Kotły. The hike from the trailhead to the viewpoint is about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for return trips.
Hiking
If you are already in Krkonoše National Park, you can access Śnieżne Kotły via various hiking trails. Popular starting points include the village of Karpacz or the town of Szklarska Poręba. From Karpacz, you can hike along the marked trails which will take you to Śnieżne Kotły in approximately 2-3 hours. From Szklarska Poręba, the hike may take around 1-2 hours. Ensure you have a hiking map or a GPS device as trails can be intricate.
