Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Mikulov. Head southeast on the main road (Husova Street) and continue onto the road leading to Pálava. Follow signs for 'Pálava' and 'Kočičí skála' as you drive. After approximately 6 kilometers, you will see signs for a parking area near Kočičí skála. There may be a small parking fee, so keep some Czech koruna handy. Once parked, you can follow the marked hiking trails leading directly to the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Mikulov to the town of Pavlov. Buses run regularly from the main bus station in Mikulov to Pavlov, and the journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once in Pavlov, you can follow the signs for Kočičí skála, which is approximately a 30-minute hike uphill from the town. Ensure to check the current bus schedule, as it may vary.
Walking
If you prefer to hike, you can start your journey from any point within the Pálava Protected Landscape Area. Follow the marked hiking trails towards Kočičí skála, with the main path starting from the Pavlov wine cellars. The hike will take around 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear proper hiking shoes as the trail can be steep and uneven.
