Prague Zoo: A World of Wildlife in the Heart of Prague

Prague Zoo, officially opened on September 28, 1931, has a rich history dating back to 1881 when Count Sweerts-Sporck proposed the idea of establishing a zoological garden in Prague. Today, the zoo spans 60 hectares, with 50 hectares dedicated to animal exhibits, and is recognized as one of the world's best. The zoo is divided by a cliff face, creating a unique and challenging landscape that has been used to full effect.
