Metro
If you are near the city center, head to the nearest metro station. Take Line B (the yellow line) towards Černý Most and get off at the Náměstí Republiky station. If you are in the vicinity of the Old Town Square or Wenceslas Square, you can walk to Prašná brána. From the Old Town Square, head north towards the Celetná street, and continue straight until you reach Náměstí Republiky. Prašná brána will be at the end of the square on your right. If coming from Wenceslas Square, walk down Na Příkopě street, and you will arrive at Náměstí Republiky within 10-15 minutes.

Although buses are less common for getting directly to Náměstí Republiky, you can take Bus 207 to the 'Václavské náměstí' stop. From there, it is a short walk to Náměstí Republiky. Walk down the street towards the direction of the Palladium shopping center, and you will reach the square where Prašná brána is located.
