Rock Café is located on Národní street, a central thoroughfare in Prague. From Wenceslas Square, walk west along Národní street for about 10 minutes. The café will be on your right, close to the National Theatre. The walk is straightforward and passes numerous shops and landmarks.

Public Transport

The closest tram stop to Rock Café is Národní divadlo. Trams 2, 9, 18, and others stop here. From the tram stop, walk east for a few steps to reach Rock Café. Public transport tickets can be purchased from machines at most stops: a 30-minute ticket costs 30 CZK, and a 90-minute ticket costs 40 CZK.

Taxi/Ride-Sharing

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are readily available in Prague. A short taxi ride from the Old Town Square to Rock Café will typically cost between 150 CZK and 250 CZK, depending on traffic and the specific company. Rock Café, situated on Národní 20 in Prague's Nové Město (New Town), has been a cornerstone of Prague's music scene since its establishment in January 1990. Founded by the artist society New Horizon, Rock Café aimed to support artists by providing management, legal assistance, and a platform for emerging bands. Bands such as Ticha dohoda, Mercedes, and Toyen were among those supported. Martin Palka, the artist behind the Rock Café logo – “The Angel of Rock” – has collaborated with galleries such as Rudolfinum.Today, Rock Café remains a significant and popular club in Prague, known for its central location and support for various artistic events. The venue has faced challenges related to noise levels, which led to renovations to improve soundproofing and extend operating hours. These improvements include a new music stage, a renovated basement, and a recently built gallery. The club now boasts an enhanced sound and lighting system, a powerful air conditioning system, and a redesigned interior.Rock Café is divided into several sections including a classic rock pub, a CD shop, and an underground concert hall. The main concert hall, moved downstairs, has an increased capacity. The venue hosts concerts by world-famous bands and music contests for young, undiscovered talent. Rock Café is a multimedia space, offering concerts, a gallery, a CD shop, and a cinema.
