Walking
Žofín Palace is located on Slovanský Island, a short walk from many central Prague landmarks. From the National Theatre, walk along the riverfront to the bridge leading to the island. The walk is approximately 100 meters. There is no fee for accessing the island or walking around the palace grounds.
Public Transport
The easiest way to reach Žofín Palace via public transport is by taking the tram to the Národní divadlo (National Theatre) stop. Trams 2, 9, 17, 18, and 22 all stop here. From the tram stop, it's a short walk across the bridge to Slovanský Island. A single 30-minute ticket costs 30 CZK, while a 90-minute ticket costs 40 CZK. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the tram stop or via mobile app.
Taxi
Taxis can drop you off directly at the entrance to Slovanský Island. A short taxi ride from Wenceslas Square to Žofín Palace typically costs between 150-200 CZK, depending on traffic and the taxi company. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are also available. Be sure the taxi meter is reset at the beginning of the ride.
