Public Transport - Tram

To reach Strahov Monastery using public transport, start by finding the nearest tram stop to your location. If you are near the city center, you can board tram number 22, which is a direct route to the monastery. Once on tram 22, enjoy the scenic ride through Prague. Stay on the tram for about 10-15 minutes, and disembark at the 'Strahov' stop. After getting off, walk straight ahead towards the large gates of Strahov Monastery, which is just a short 5-minute walk uphill.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, you can head towards the Petřín Hill area, which offers beautiful views of the city. Start from the Vltava River and make your way up to the hill via Újezd street. Follow the signs towards the Petřín Lookout Tower, but instead of heading to the tower, continue straight towards Strahov Monastery. The walk may take approximately 20-30 minutes, but you'll enjoy a lovely view of Prague along the way. The monastery is located at Strahovské nádvoří 1/132, 118 00 Prague 1-Strahov.

Public Transport - Bus

If you are in the vicinity of the 'Malostranská' metro station, you can take bus number 143. Board the bus and ride for about 5 stops until you reach 'Strahov' bus stop.
