Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are already in Nove Mesto, start by heading towards the river, Vltava. Walk towards the south until you reach the intersection with Národní třída. Turn left onto Národní třída and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Karoliny Světlé street. Turn right onto Karoliny Světlé and walk straight until you come across the Old Town Square. Continue straight until you see Mariánské náměstí on your left. Klementinum is located at Mariánské nám. 5. It is a historic site, so keep an eye out for the grand entrance.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Nove Mesto, walk to the nearest tram stop such as 'Národní třída'. Board tram number 17 or 21 in the direction of 'Náměstí Republiky'. After just two stops, get off at 'Staroměstská'. From the tram stop, head east towards the Old Town Square, and then take a left onto Mariánské náměstí. Klementinum will be on your right at Mariánské nám. 5. A single tram ticket costs around CZK 40 and is valid for 90 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Metro

    If you prefer taking the subway, find your way to the nearest metro station, 'Karlovo Náměstí'. Take Metro Line B (the yellow line) in the direction of 'Černý Most' and travel for two stops to 'Můstek'. From there, transfer to Metro Line A (the green line) and head towards 'Nemocnice Motol'. Get off at 'Staroměstská' station. Exit the metro station and walk east towards the Old Town Square, then turn left onto Mariánské náměstí. You will find Klementinum at Mariánské nám. 5. A single metro ticket also costs around CZK 40.
