Getting There

• Car

  From Silesia, take the D1 motorway towards Prague. Follow the signs for Prague and continue on D1 for approximately 170 km. Once you approach Prague, follow signs for the city center (Centrum). Exit onto Třeboňská, which leads into the city. Find parking in one of the nearby garages (such as Palladium or Kotva), as street parking can be limited. From the parking garage, it is a short 10-15 minute walk to the Prague Astronomical Clock located at Staroměstské nám. 1, 110 00 Josefov.

• Train

  Start by taking a train from a major station in Silesia, such as Katowice or Ostrava, to Prague. Purchase a ticket to the main station (Praha hlavní nádraží). The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours depending on the service. Upon arrival at the main train station, exit and take metro line C (red line) towards Letňany. Transfer at the Muzeum station to line A (green line) and head towards Depo Hostivař. Get off at Staroměstská station and walk 5-10 minutes to the Astronomical Clock at Staroměstské nám. 1, 110 00 Josefov.

• Bus

  If you are in a smaller town in Silesia, you can take a regional bus to Prague. Look for a bus service that connects your location to Prague, such as FlixBus or RegioJet. The trip can take between 3 to 5 hours. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Prague, walk to the nearest metro station and take metro line C (red line) to Muzeum. Transfer to line A (green line) and get off at Staroměstská station. The Prague Astronomical Clock is a short 5-10 minute walk from the station.

• Tram

  After arriving in Prague, use the tram system to reach the Astronomical Clock. From any central tram stop, take tram line 17 or 22 and get off at the Staroměstská stop. The clock is located just a few minutes' walk from the tram stop at Staroměstské nám. 1, 110 00 Josefov. Ensure to purchase a valid ticket before boarding the tram (costs about 32 CZK for a short trip).
