Muzeum v přírodě Vysočina - Veselý Kopec, located in the picturesque Vysočina region, offers a captivating glimpse into the traditional rural life of the Czech countryside. This open-air museum features a collection of authentic historical buildings, carefully preserved and relocated to create a living representation of the region's past. Founded in 1972, Veselý Kopec showcases the lifestyle and farming methods of small farmers from the mid-19th to the mid-20th centuries. Visitors can explore farmsteads, small farms, and sacral buildings, as well as unique water-powered technical structures including mills and sawmills. The oldest interior is found in the homestead from Lezník, while the youngest exhibition, dating to the 1950s, is in the farmstead from Mokrá Lhota. The museum is located in the original landscape of the Veselý Kopec settlement, about 8 km from Hlinsko. Today, there are 45 monuments on display. The site also hosts seasonal events and workshops, offering visitors the chance to participate in traditional crafts and enjoy folk performances.
