From Blackbird State Forest, start by heading west on Blackbird Forest Road. Continue for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 13. Turn right onto Route 13 North and continue for approximately 8 miles. Then, take the exit toward Route 1 South/Dover. Merge onto Route 1 South and continue for about 6 miles. Take the exit for Route 113 South toward Dover. Continue for approximately 2 miles and turn left onto The Green. First State Heritage Park will be on your right at 43 The Green, Dover, DE 19901.

From Blackbird State Forest, you will need to first arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the nearest bus stop in Dover. The nearest bus service is DART First State, which operates routes in the area. Once in Dover, you can take the DART bus number 104 or 105 towards the Dover Transit Center. Disembark at the stop closest to The Green. From there, it is a short walk to First State Heritage Park located at 43 The Green, Dover, DE 19901.
