Lewes Unleashed Dog Park provides a dedicated space for dogs to run, play, and socialize in a safe, enclosed environment. This members-only park spans five acres within Great Marsh Park and is divided into distinct areas to cater to different dog sizes and temperaments. The main area, nearly three acres in size, is primarily used by larger dogs and features canopied seating areas for owners to socialize. For smaller or more timid dogs, there's a separate, smaller area. An agility training area provides opportunities for dogs to develop their skills, while an events area is reserved for Lewes Unleashed activities. Lewes Unleashed was the result of community effort, with the dog park first discussed with the city council in 2011. In the fall of 2014, Lewes Unleashed obtained a lease of the land from the city council, with the park design approved in the spring of 2015. The park officially opened in August 2016. To enter the park, a key fob is required, which is obtained through membership. Members must adhere to park rules, including providing vaccination records and ensuring responsible pet ownership. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
