Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Dover, DE. Head southeast on DE-1 S for approximately 20 miles. Take the exit toward Lewes, and merge onto Coastal Highway (US-9). Continue for about 6 miles, then turn left onto Pilottown Road. The Lightship Overfalls LV-118 will be on the left at 219 Pilottown Rd, Lewes, DE 19958. There is parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the DART First State bus route 204 from Dover to Lewes. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to Pilottown Road. Once you arrive, walk south along Pilottown Road for about 0.5 miles. The Lightship Overfalls LV-118 will be on your right at 219 Pilottown Rd, Lewes, DE 19958. Please check the DART schedule for the latest timings, and remember that a one-way bus fare is approximately $2.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can take the Junction and Breakwater Trail starting from Rehoboth Beach. Follow the trail towards Lewes, which is approximately 5 miles. There are bike racks available for secure parking.

• Walking

  If you're staying in Lewes, you can walk to the Lightship Overfalls LV-118. From the downtown Lewes area, head south on Second Street until you reach Pilottown Road. Turn left and continue walking for about 1 mile. The Lightship will be on your left at 219 Pilottown Rd, Lewes, DE 19958. This is a pleasant walk through the historic district.
