Getting There

• Car

  From Killens Pond State Park, head south on Killens Pond Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 16. Turn left onto Route 16 East and follow it for about 3.5 miles. Look for the signs for Abbott's Mill Nature Center. Turn right onto Abbotts Pond Rd. The center is located at 15411 Abbotts Pond Rd, Milford, DE 19963, which is approximately 1.5 miles down the road on your left. There is no parking fee at the nature center.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Abbott's Mill Nature Center from Killens Pond State Park via public transportation, you will first need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus stop on Route 16. From there, catch the DART First State bus heading towards Milford. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at or near Abbotts Pond Rd. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. Upon arriving, you may need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to the center. Total costs may vary based on the taxi fare and bus fare.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can cycle from Killens Pond State Park. Start on Killens Pond Rd and head south, then follow the same route as by car, turning onto Route 16 and then onto Abbotts Pond Rd. The distance is approximately 5 miles one way. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules for safety.
