Car
To reach Amstel House Museum from Lums Pond State Park by car, exit the park and head east on McCoy Rd. Continue onto DE-896 South for approximately 3 miles. Merge onto I-95 South via the ramp to Wilmington. After about 6 miles, take exit 4A for DE-273 East toward New Castle. Continue on DE-273 for about 2 miles, then turn right onto N 4th St. After a few blocks, turn left onto E 4th St, and the Amstel House Museum will be on your right at 2 E 4th St, New Castle, DE 19720. Parking is available near the museum.

For those using public transportation, first take a DART First State bus from Lums Pond State Park. You might need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to get to the bus stop on DE-896. Take the bus towards Wilmington and transfer to a bus heading to New Castle. You will want to get off at the New Castle stop, which is near the intersection of 4th St and Delaware St. From there, walk east on E 4th St for about 4 blocks until you reach 2 E 4th St, New Castle, DE 19720. Be sure to check the DART First State schedule for bus times and fares.
