Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Middletown, head north on Main Street. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Route 299. Turn right onto Route 299 and follow it for approximately 2 miles. You will pass local shops and restaurants. As you approach Dover, keep an eye out for signs directing you to First State Heritage Park. The park is located at 43 The Green in Dover, DE. Once you reach The Green, look for the entrance to the park on your left.

• Biking

  Start your biking journey from the central park in Middletown. Head north on Main Street for about 1 mile. Turn right onto Route 299 and bike along this road, which is relatively flat and offers scenic views. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach Dover. As you get closer, follow the signs for The Green. The park's entrance is located at 43 The Green, where you can lock your bike and explore the area on foot.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Check the local bus schedule for routes serving Middletown to Dover. Board any bus that lists Dover as a destination. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Dover, disembark at the closest stop to The Green. From the bus stop, walk toward The Green, where you will find First State Heritage Park at 43 The Green. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
