From San Jose Diridon Station, take any northbound light rail train to the Convention Center station. VTA's 23 local and 523 Rapid bus lines also stop near the Convention Center. A single VTA light rail or bus fare is $2.50.

The San Jose McEnery Convention Center is a major venue in Downtown San Jose, California. With 550,000 square feet of space, it stands as the largest convention center in Silicon Valley. The building is named after former San Jose Mayor Tom McEnery, who championed the revitalization of the city's downtown area. The convention center has a rich history, with the first general-purpose event center being the Santa Clara County Horticultural Society’s Horticultural Hall, which operated from 1886. In 1933, the Civic Auditorium became the city's main venue. In 1957, voters approved a bond for a modern convention center, leading to the Jay McCabe Convention Hall in 1964. The current convention center was approved in 1983, replacing a previous convention hall. The convention center boasts 165,000 square feet of exhibit space, 31 meeting rooms, and banquet facilities. Notable features include a tile mural by Danish artist Lin Utzon on the north entrance. The center is also conveniently connected to the Hilton San Jose and the San Jose Marriott. It is a popular location for events such as the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, Facebook F8, FanimeCon, and GalaxyCon.
