If you are starting from the Silkeborg city center, head west on Nørregade towards the intersection with Bindslevs Plads. Continue straight onto Søvej and follow it as it curves around the lake. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach Slotsholmen, which is located on the peninsula at the end of the lake.
