From the Goda Mountains, head southeast towards the main road leading to Djibouti City. Follow Route N1 until you reach the turnoff for Lac du Goubet, which is about 50 km from the Goda Mountains area. Take the exit and follow the signs towards Lac du Goubet. The road will lead you along the coastline, offering scenic views. After approximately 30 km, you will arrive at the parking area near Shark Pit. Be aware that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus or shared taxi from Djibouti City to Lac du Goubet. Buses leave from the central bus station in Djibouti City regularly throughout the day. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Lac du Goubet, you may need to hire a local taxi to reach Shark Pit, which is about 10 km from the bus stop. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand, as there may not be a standard rate.
Walking or Hiking
