    From Roseau, take a minibus heading towards Laudat. These buses typically depart from the corner of Valley Road and Bath Road. The ride to Laudat takes approximately 30 minutes. From Laudat, it's a short walk to the Middleham Falls trailhead. Minibus fare is around EC$5 (USD 2).

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    A taxi from Roseau to the Middleham Falls trailhead will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from EC$80-EC$135 (US$30-US$50). Middleham Falls is a majestic waterfall nestled in the heart of Dominica's Morne Trois Pitons National Park. Plunging from a height of approximately 275 feet (84 meters), it is the tallest waterfall on the island and one of the highest in the Caribbean. The falls cascade into a natural pool, inviting visitors to take a refreshing dip in its cool waters. The trail to Middleham Falls is a moderately challenging hike that winds through a lush rainforest. The 3.5 to 4-mile round trip hike typically takes 2-3 hours to complete, with an elevation gain of about 1000 feet. Along the way, hikers will encounter diverse flora and fauna, including towering Gommier and Chataignier trees, Yanga Palms, colorful birds, lizards, and possibly even the Sisserou Parrot. The trail can be steep and slippery, especially after rain, so sturdy hiking boots are recommended. Once part of the Middleham Estate, the area around the falls was donated to the World Wildlife Fund in the 1970s to help form Morne Trois Pitons National Park. In 1975, the land was transferred to Dominica's government.
