From the center of Soufrière, head east on the main road (Route 9). Follow the road until you reach the junction where the road forks. Take the left fork towards the village of Fond St. Jean. Continue walking along this road for approximately 3 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to the Valley of Desolation. As you approach La Plaine, you will see a small path on the right side leading towards the valley. Follow this path, which will lead you through lush vegetation. The Valley of Desolation is located about 1 kilometer down this path.
