Walking
If you are in the main area of Bayahibe, head towards the beach and look for the path leading to the left side of the beach where you will find the signs directing you to Cueva de Chicho. Follow the beach path until it leads you into a small wooded area. Continue on this trail, which will eventually open up to a larger path that leads directly to the cave. Be sure to keep an eye out for directional signs along the way.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bayahibe. Start at the central square and head towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, turn left and follow the coastal road until you see signs for Cueva de Chicho. The route is scenic and will take you through some beautiful areas. Make sure to park your bicycle at the designated area near the cave entrance.
Guided Tour
Consider joining a guided tour that includes Cueva de Chicho. Many local tour operators can be found in Bayahibe, especially near the main square. Book your tour in advance, and they will provide transportation from your hotel or meet you at a central location in Bayahibe. The guides will take care of all the navigation and provide you with interesting information about the cave and its surroundings.
Motorbike Taxi (Motoconcho)
You can also take a motoconcho (motorbike taxi) to Cueva de Chicho. Head to the main street in Bayahibe where you can find motoconcho drivers. Tell the driver you want to go to Cueva de Chicho, and they will take you directly to the entrance. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your ride.
