Walking
From the center of Jarabacoa, head south on Calle Juan Pablo Duarte towards the main park, Parque Ramón Emilio Jiménez. Once you reach the park, continue straight onto Avenida Libertad. Follow Avenida Libertad until you reach the intersection with Calle Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Turn left onto Calle Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Keep walking until you reach the end of the street where you will find a trail that leads to Rio Baiguate. The trail will take you through some lush greenery and may have a few signs pointing you towards the river.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Jarabacoa. Start your ride from the main square in Jarabacoa and head south on Calle Juan Pablo Duarte. Continue until you reach Avenida Libertad, then turn left. As you cycle down Avenida Libertad, look for the intersection with Calle Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Turn left here. Follow this road until you see the trail leading to Rio Baiguate. Be prepared for a slightly bumpy ride as the trail might not be paved but offers a scenic view.
Public Transport (Motoconcho)
Find a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) near the main square in Jarabacoa. Tell the driver you want to go to Rio Baiguate. They will take you to the nearest access point to the river. The motoconcho ride will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you might need to walk a short distance along a path to reach the riverbank.
