From the center of La Romana, head to the local bus terminal, which is located on Avenida de la Salud. Look for a bus with a sign indicating 'Higüey' or 'Higuey.' The fare is usually around 50 pesos. Once you board, tell the driver your destination is 'Iglesia Parroquial San Dionisio' or simply 'Higüey.' The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. When you arrive in Higüey, disembark at the main bus stop, which is near the city center.

Motoconcho (Motorcycle taxi)
If you're closer to the center of La Romana, you can take a motoconcho to the Higüey bus terminal. Just flag down a motorcycle taxi and tell the driver you want to go to the Higüey bus terminal. The fare should be around 100 pesos. After reaching the terminal, board a bus to Higüey as described above. If you prefer, you can hire a motoconcho directly to take you to the church in Higüey, which may cost around 300-400 pesos.

Walking
If you are staying in the central area of Higüey, you can walk to the church. From the main bus terminal, exit onto Avenida Juan Pablo II and head north. Continue straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Calle Pedro A. Pérez, where you will see the church on your left. The church is a prominent building, so it should be easy to spot.
