Car
From Samaná, take Route 5 towards Las Terrenas. Continue on Route 5 for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the town of El Valle. Once in El Valle, look for the signs directing you to Río Caletón. The final stretch will have unpaved roads, so be cautious. Follow the last few kilometers to the destination located at 7MMC+GP7, El Valle 32000. Parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
From Samaná, head to the main bus terminal and take a guagua (local minibus) heading towards Las Terrenas. Inform the driver that you are going to El Valle. The bus ride will take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive in El Valle, you may need to hire a moto-taxi or walk to Río Caletón, which is about 5 km away. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the moto-taxi driver, which typically costs around 100-150 DOP.
Walking
If you prefer to walk after reaching El Valle, you can follow the local roads towards Río Caletón. This is a scenic route but be prepared for a walk of about 5 km, which can take around an hour depending on your pace. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if you are traveling during the warmer parts of the day.
