Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Parque Colón, head east on Calle de las Damas and continue until you reach the intersection with Calle Juan Isidro Pérez. Turn left onto Calle Juan Isidro Pérez, and continue walking for about 5 minutes. The San Francisco Monastery will be on your right. Look for the large stone structure with a beautiful archway.

    From the Zona Colonial, if you are near the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, exit the cathedral and head towards Calle Hostos. Turn left onto Calle Hostos and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Juan Isidro Pérez. Turn right onto Calle Juan Isidro Pérez, and after a short walk of about 3 minutes, you will see the San Francisco Monastery on your right.

    If you are at the Malecón, head to the nearest bus stop and take a bus that goes towards Zona Colonial. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Parque Colón stop.
