Public Bus
From Ambato city center, head to the main bus terminal (Terminal Terrestre Ambato). Look for buses heading towards 'Riobamba' or 'Chimborazo'. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to 'Hacia los Refugios del Chimborazo'. From the drop-off point, the location is about a 5-minute walk. Follow the signs leading to the park entrance.

You can easily find a taxi in Ambato. Simply tell the driver 'Hacia los Refugios del Chimborazo'. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure the driver knows that you want to go directly to the entrance of the attraction.

If you are near Parque Cevallos, walk towards Calle Atocha and head southeast. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Manuelita Sáenz. Turn left and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the main road leading towards Chimborazo. Follow the road signs towards 'Hacia los Refugios del Chimborazo'. It will take about 1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
