Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Ambato, start at Parque Montalvo, which is located near the city center. From there, head south towards Avenida Cevallos. Continue straight on Avenida Cevallos until you reach the intersection with Calle Sucre. Turn left onto Calle Sucre and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with Avenida Manuela Espejo. At this point, you will need to continue straight for approximately 5 more minutes until you see signs for Juan Montalvo Park. The park is located at the address HHXH+XPM, which is known locally, so you can ask locals for directions if needed.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From the central bus terminal in Ambato, take any bus that heads towards Baños. The trip should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Baños, exit the bus and head toward Avenida de las Amazonas. Walk straight for about 5 minutes, passing shops and small eateries. After a short walk, you will arrive at Juan Montalvo Park, which is a popular local attraction.

  If you prefer a faster option, you can hire a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Juan Montalvo Park in Baños. The trip should take around 25 minutes from central Ambato, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride, and you can ask to be dropped off at the entrance of the park.
