Getting There

Bus
From the center of Ambato, walk to the main bus terminal located at Av. Cevallos y Av. 12 de Noviembre. Look for the buses heading towards Baños or Tungurahua. Once you find the right bus, board it and inform the driver that you want to go to Tungurahua. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. You will be dropped off at a point near the base of Tungurahua, and from there, you can start your hike or take a local guide.

If you are already near Parque Cevallos, head towards the main road, Av. Cevallos. Walk east and follow the road signs that indicate the direction towards Tungurahua.
