Turn left onto the road leading to La Libertad. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for Laguna El Voladero. The lake is located about 5 kilometers from La Libertad. Follow the signs, and you will find a parking area near the entrance to the nature preserve.

From Tulcán, take a bus to La Libertad. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal in Tulcán, and the fare is usually around $1.50. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in La Libertad, you can either walk to Laguna El Voladero, which is about 5 kilometers away, or hire a local taxi for around $5-$7 to take you directly to the entrance of the nature preserve.
